Field Improvements

Another project done!!!  This one started in late 2019 but stalled out with our year off, but we are moving ahead again!!!

Thank you to Derek Dahlk and Finks Paving, Excavating, and Concrete for help with the installation of the new turf sections in our pitching locations.  The turf allows us to paint on home plates so pitchers are practicing at the correct distances.

SECOND
Make sure you and your player have a mask on and make sure your daughter has a water bottle, fielding mask, batting helmet, bat, spikes, glove, and a jersey/shirt with a number on it.

THIRD
With 71 players being assessed, parents will not be allowed to be on the fields.  You are asked to wait in the parking lot.

FOURTH
To reduce the amount of people coming and going between sessions, once the players have completed their skill assessment they will come to you so we can avoid congestion.

————————–
Players will be evaluated by independent evaluators in the following skills:

THROWING
U8 level will play regular catch with no pitching.  They will be evaluated on how they can throw and catch from approx 15′.   U10/U12/U14 will be evaluated during fielding drills.

PITCHING
U10/U12/U14 ONLY: if your daughter has interest in pitching we need to know at the sign-up table when they arrive.  Each player will get 15-20 pitches total from the regular pitching distance in the pitching lanes.

FIELDING
Each player will make 3-5 throws to 1st base from each of the infield positions.   U10/U12/U14 ONLY: will get 3-5 fly balls in the outfield and will need to demonstrate the ability to catch the fly ball and throw to 2nd base.
