Youth Softball Skills Assessment: Sunday, March 11
Thank you to all of the parents for bringing their daughters to the clinic last Sunday, and we hope they all had a great time. We were very pleased to see the great attitudes, and willingness to listen to the coaches. As of right now, we have 66 girls registered among the three age groups, which is an awesome turnout!
Reminder: the skills assessment is Sunday, March 11th, once again in the High School Auxiliary Gym. Please have your daughters bring their glove, tennis shoes, water bottle, bat, batting helmet, and fielding mask. If they don’t have a bat, helmet, or mask, we’ll have extras.
There will be independent evaluators present to give us an idea of the various skill sets for determining teams. By no means should your daughter be nervous, as this is not a “make the team or get cut” evaluation. We will have a spot for all girls who want to play softball. Youth baseball and basketball programs utilize the same process. Please encourage your daughters to remain relaxed, as this is meant to be another fun opportunity to work on, and show off their softball skills.
Please try to arrive ten to fifteen minutes early to get through the check-in table so we can start on time. We’ll have a contact spreadsheet at the check-in table, and ask that everyone verify / update parent names, emails, and cell phone numbers.
Assessment times are as follows:
- 10U: 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
- 12U: 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.
- 14U: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
